Jenna Fischer is best known for her character Pam Beesly on the acclaimed TV show The Office For her role, she was awarded an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actress and Two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance in an Ensemble Comedy.
She was born and raised within Fort Wayne in Indiana. Jenna was impressed by her mother's worship services when she first started out.
Theater actress with training, Fischer returned to her roots after wrapping The Office. In the Off-Broadway Play Reasons To Be Happy composed by Neil LaBute with Josh Hamilton and Leslie Bibb as co-stars, Fischer starred. The play was followed by her participation in the world premiere of Steve Martin's latest play Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy with Greg Germann as well as Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking show at The Old Globe Theatre.
In October of 2019, Fischer and The Office cast-mate and real-life best friend Angela Kinsey launched an online podcast called Office Ladies on the Earwolf platform. The podcast has since become wildly popular, landing in the Top Ten globally every week and receiving over 200 million downloads over its initial two years. Office Ladies, which was released in the month of October, won iHeart Radio's Podcast of the Month award in January 2021.
She's written two books: The Actor's Life, a Survival Guide where she outlines her path to Hollywood as a working actor and Office BFF's, Tales of The Office From Two Best Friends who Were There, a memoir of the best friendships they enjoyed and their time watching The Office.
