Laura Linney is an American actor, who became famous for her portrayal of vulnerable but strong characters. Born to a famous playwright's father, and being raised by a single mother, who earned her living in the field of nursing, she began to take an interest in theater while working with her father during the summer then pursuing acting studies, first at Brown University and then at Juilliard School. The actress began her Broadway career soon after completing her degree in the year 2000, before making her debut on television the following year. Since then, she has appeared involved in numerous films, television plays and stage productions. Over the course of her career, she won numerous awards including the two Golden Globe Awards. Despite her numerous awards, she still loves the theatre, and has appeared on stage and screen.
